OTWS is proud hosts to the World Record Breaking Longest Flag Football Game August 30-31.For Immediate Release August 23, 2008 Play Flag Football to Set a World Record in Santa Clara Non-Profit to Play the World's Longest Flag Football Game San Jose, CA Play Flag Football, a Campbell, California based non-profit, will attempt to establish a new world record for the longest flag football game ever played. The event will take place on Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31st at the Off the Wall Soccer Complex in Santa Clara. The game will be played to raise money in support of Play Flag Football's youth sports programs. Through corporate sponsorship, personal donations and player sponsorship pledges, the organizers are planning to raise over $25,000 to support youth leagues, camps, and after school programs. "As the largest youth flag football organization in California, we're really excited to be a part of such a unique effort," Executive Director of Play Flag Football, John Mora, said in a statement to the press earlier this month. "We're honored that the community has chosen to support us through this unprecedented event."
